IT Home reported on November 10 that Tesla Model 3 sedan and Model Y have officially landed in the Philippine market. Both models are highly price competitive in the country.
Tesla’s first experience center in the Philippines is located at 22 Uptown Parade in Bombon City (BGC), a high-end area in Metro Manila. The opening ceremony attracted many people and government officials to participate, and the atmosphere was warm.
Tesla Philippines offers highly competitive pricing for the Model 3. The Model 3 rear-wheel drive version starts at 2,109,000 Philippine pesos (IT Home Note: Currently about RMB 258,900), the Model 3 long-range all-wheel drive version starts at 2,489,000 Philippine pesos (about RMB 305,600), and the Model 3 Performance version starts at 3,099,000 Philippine pesos (about RMB 380,500). The above prices do not include optional equipment.
This pricing puts the Model 3 in the same price range as the Toyota Camry 2.5 V HEV, which is priced at about 2,457,000 Philippine pesos (about 301,600 yuan) in the Philippines. At the same time, the price of the Model 3 is also significantly lower than the BMW 3 Series Sedan 318i Business version, which has an MSRP of 3,590,000 Philippine pesos (about 440,700 yuan) in the Philippines.
The Model Y also has a price advantage. According to Tesla’s Philippines order page, the Model Y rear-wheel drive version starts at 2,369,000 Philippine pesos (about 290,800 yuan), the Model Y long-range all-wheel drive version starts at 2,689,000 Philippine pesos (about 330,100 yuan), and the Model Y Performance version starts at 3,299,000 Philippine pesos (about 405,000 yuan), all of which do not include options. This price makes the Tesla Model Y competitive with popular crossovers like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
