On August 27, the male giant panda “Tian Tian” celebrated his 26th birthday at the Smithsonian Institution National Zoo in Washington, DC. The zoo prepared a special cake for “Tian Tian”.

At the end of 2000, giant pandas “Mei Xiang” and “Tian Tian” arrived at the Washington National Zoo to start their careers in the United States.

 

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 22, Wang Wenbin stated that the giant pandas “Mei Xiang”, “Tian Tian” and “Little Miracle” living in the National Zoo in Washington, USA will return to China as scheduled by the end of this year. At present, the overall health of the “Meixiang” family of three is in good condition. China and the United States are negotiating to handle relevant procedures, and work together to ensure the transportation guarantee work to ensure that the “Meixiang” family returns home safely.
