President Lula highly appreciated and supported the development of Great Wall Motor in Brazil, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on cooperation and development. Great Wall Motor’s Brazilian factory will start production in mid-2025.
In June this year, Great Wall Motors issued a statement saying that it would accelerate the official production of the Iracemapolis plant. It is expected that after the plant is fully operational, it will create more than 4,500 jobs. The Vice President of Brazil came to the Great Wall Motors Brazil plant in April 2023, which is also the first new energy plant in Brazil.
Great Wall Motors previously revealed that in addition to meeting the supply demand for intelligent and electric vehicles in the Brazilian local market, its Brazilian plant will also serve as the fourth largest production base of Great Wall Motors in the world, radiating the entire Latin American new energy vehicle market.
Great Wall Motors will invest more than 10 billion reais (IT Home Note: Currently about 12.204 billion yuan) in Brazil in the next 10 years for its operations in Brazil.
