Recently, Great Wall Motor (GWM) held a ceremony at its Uzbekistan KD (Knock-Down) plant to mark the rollout of its 10,000th locally assembled vehicle. This achievement not only signifies a major milestone in GWM’s deep-rooted commitment to the local market but also reflects the scaled advancement of its localization strategy in Central Asia.
Data shows that since signing a cooperation agreement with Uzbek partners in July 2023, GWM has rapidly expanded its presence in the region. In November of the same year, the first locally assembled Haval M6 rolled off the production line. By October 2025, GWM’s cumulative sales in Uzbekistan had surpassed 10,000 units, securing an 8.2% market share in the local SUV segment from January to September 2025.
Located in the Jizzakh region, the 11,000-square-meter KD plant has already completed assembly for multiple models, including the Haval H6, Haval JOLION, Haval M6, Haval Big Dog (Dargo), Haval H9, and Wingle 7. According to the plan, production of the Haval Menglong (Poer Dragon) will be added in 2026, further enriching the localized product portfolio.
