.Galvanized (GI):Hot dip zinc coating is applied to the steel through submersion in a molten bath of greater than 99% zinc.

.Electrogalvanized (EG):Electrogalvanizing coats the steel with a 99.9% zinc coating through an electrolytic process.

.Galvannealed (GA):After passing the steel through a zinc bath containing at least 99% zinc, the subsequent annealing process diffuses iron into the zinc layer. The resultant coating has a dull matte grey appearance and an iron content in the coating of 8 to 13%.

.Aluminum-Silicon (AS):The coating is applied to the steel through immersion in a bath containing aluminum with a silicon content of between 8 and 11%.

.Zinc-Nickel (ZN):Electrogalvanizing of the steel to produce a zinc rich coating with 9 to 13% Nickel.

6. Zinc Magnesium (ZM):Zinc-magnesium hot dip coating produced by immersion in a molten zinc batch containing aluminum and magnesium with a combined total alloying content between 1.5 and 8%.

.Uncoated (UC):Uncoated steel.
