On January 30, local time, due to the unresolved pay dispute, the British Train Drivers’ Union (ASLEF) held a new round of strikes. The strike dates are from January 30 to February 5. This round of strikes is expected to affect more than a dozen railway operating companies.

Since July 2022, the British Train Drivers Union has carried out multiple rounds of strikes to protest high inflation and demand improved wages.
