On February 2, Finnish structural electronics injection molding (IMSE) manufacturer TactoTek announced a technology licensing agreement with Michigan-based Global Technology Ventures Inc. (GTV), enabling GTV to apply IMSE technology in customer projects.
GTV’s hybrid design, engineering, and manufacturing model—covering rapid prototyping, precision tooling, and low-volume production—will be integrated with TactoTek’s IMSE technology. IMSE embeds electronic functionalities such as lighting, touch controls, and circuitry directly into the surfaces of 3D injection-molded parts. This transforms traditional component structures into smart, lightweight, and space-saving solutions without compromising performance or design.
By licensing IMSE technology, GTV will support the integration of electronic features into injection-molded components from the early stages of product development, reducing design complexity and accelerating time-to-market. GTV serves innovators in the automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, and medical industries.
This collaboration expands the IMSE ecosystem in North America, giving design teams direct access to local partners with IMSE expertise.
