The local time September 12, the German police successfully defused a 500-kilogram unexploded bomb left over from World War II in the city of Urba in the western state of Rhineland-Palatinate. During the bomb disposal process, more than 1,200 nearby residents were evacuated, and road, rail and waterway transportation were temporarily suspended.
