DC01 represents the basic quality of the DC steel family and is also known under the former designations St12 or FeP01. This quality can be used for simple forming work such as bending, embossing, beading and drawing.

1) For products that do not have a clear yield point, the values for the 0.2% yield point (R p0.2 ) apply to the values for the yield point, for other products the values for the lower yield point (R eL ) apply. For thicknesses ≤ 0.7 mm, but > 0.5 mm, maximum values for the yield point that are 20 MPa higher are permissible. For thicknesses ≤ 0.5 mm, maximum values for the yield point that are 40 MPa higher are permissible.
2) For thicknesses ≤ 0.7 mm, but > 0.5 mm, minimum elongation at break values that are 2 units lower are permitted. For thicknesses ≤ 0.5 mm, minimum values lower by 4 units are permissible.
3) The r 90 and n 90 values only apply to product thicknesses ≥ 0.5 mm.
4) For thicknesses > 2 mm, the r 90 value is reduced by 0.2.
