Part of British Museum’s gold and jewelery collection stolen

On the 16th local time, according to the BBC, gold and jewelry relics in the warehouse of the British Museum were stolen. These missing precious cultural relics span from the 15th century BC to the 19th century AD. At present, the staff in charge of the collection have been fired. The British Museum has since stepped up security. London’s Metropolitan Police are investigating the case.
