Hot rolled steel Processing

Hot rolled steel is rolled at very high temperatures, more than 1700 degrees Celsius, exceeding the recrystallization temperature of most steels. This makes the steel easier to form and the product easier to use.

To process hot-rolled steel, the manufacturer first starts from the cuboid, that is, the billet. After heating, the blank is sent to pretreatment, and then flattened into a large reel. Then, through a series of rollers to reach the final temperature, so as to maintain the high temperature. The white hot steel strand pushes the roll at high speed. In the case of sheet metal, the rolled steel shall be rotated and then cooled. Segment packaging of other forms of materials, such as rods or plates.

Hot-rolled steel sheet/plate

The rolled coil will be skin-passed, leveled and cut into sheets. The hot-rolled steel sheets/plates will heat treat according to your personalized customization requirements. Due to the careful inspection and removal of the defect, the final product will have a good shape and surface quality. The edge condition of the sheets could be mill edge or cut edge.

There are 2 package ways for the hot-rolled steel in sheets. One is normal package, the sheets will be fastened by steel tapes without wrapping. The other is by box package. The hot-rolled steel sheets will be wrapped in oilpaper and protected by boards from the sides and top direction. Stow-wood and tray will be fastened under the sheets. In order to avoid the rust and scratch during transport and storage, it’s better to choose the box package.
