1J85 precision alloy, also known as iron-nickel alloy or magnetic memory alloy, is an alloy material with special magnetic and shape memory properties. It is composed of elements such as iron and nickel, and a certain proportion of alloying elements such as cobalt and chromium is usually added to adjust its properties.

1J85 precision alloy has good magnetic properties, especially the advantages of high magnetic induction and low magnetic permeability. It has highly sensitive magnetic response under weak magnetic field, and can be widely used in the fields of magnetic sensor, magnetic control and magnetic transmission.

In addition, 1J85 precision alloy also has shape memory properties. The shape memory effect means that after an alloy undergoes deformation, it can return to its original shape by heating or external stimuli. This makes the 1J85 precision alloy have potential application value in the manufacture of micro-actuators, micro-mechanical systems and smart materials.

Overall, 1J85 precision alloy is a special functional material with unique magnetic properties and shape memory properties, and has broad application prospects in the fields of magnetic and smart materials.

Chemical Composition of 1J85 Precision Alloy

1J85 permalloy is an iron-nickel soft magnetic alloy with extremely high magnetic permeability under weak magnetic field. In order to increase the resistivity and improve the process performance, Mo, Cr, Cu and other elements are often added to the Fe-Ni binary alloy. In addition to Fe-Ni alloys, Permalloys also belong to Fe-Si-Al alloys and amorphous cobalt-based alloys.

Physical Properties of 1J85 Precision Alloy

1J85 is a magnetic alloy containing elements such as iron, nickel and cobalt, also known as grid ring alloy or magnetic alloy. The following are the main physical properties of 1J85 alloy:

Density: 8.75 g/cm3

Melting point: 1395-1425°C

Magnetic properties: 1J85 alloy has the characteristics of high magnetic induction and low magnetic permeability, and is a special soft magnetic material. It exhibits excellent magnetic response properties in strong magnetic fields.

Saturation magnetic induction: In general, the saturation magnetic induction of 1J85 alloy can reach 1.55-1.6 Tesla (T), which has good magnetic saturation performance.

Magnetic permeability: 1J85 alloy has the characteristics of low magnetic permeability, which can reduce the magnetic energy loss in the magnetic field and improve the magnetic shielding effect.

Conductivity: 1J85 alloy has good electrical conductivity, which can effectively conduct current and reduce resistance.

Overall, 1J85 alloy has excellent magnetic properties and is suitable for many magnetic applications, such as magnetic field sensors, inductors, magnetic cores, and magnetic control components in electronic equipment.

How about the soft magnetic properties of 1J85

Permalloy has excellent soft magnetic properties, the initial magnetic permeability μi is 37.5-125mH/m, the magnetic permeability μm can reach 125-375mH/m, the coercive force Hc is 0.8A/m, and the resistivity ρ is 60- 85μΩ·cm. The alloy is smelted in a vacuum induction furnace, and is made into cold-rolled strip, cold-drawn wire or hot-rolled (forged) plate and bar through hot-cold plastic deformation. Used to make audio transformers, transformers, magnetic amplifiers, magnetic modulators, chokes, audio heads, etc.

The main magnetic properties of 1J85 soft magnetic alloy are:

(1) Low coercive force (Hc) and hysteresis loss (Wh);

(2) The resistivity (ρ) is high and the eddy current loss (We) is low;

(3) The initial magnetic permeability (μ0) and magnetic permeability (μm) are high; the magnetic permeability (B/H) of some alloys remains constant in the low magnetic field range;

(4) High saturation magnetic induction (Bs);

(5) The hysteresis loop of some alloys is rectangular, and the rectangular ratio is higher than the remanence/magnetic induction (Br/Bm). These magnetic properties are closely related to the structural state and composition of the alloy.

Performance characteristics of 1J85 permalloy

1J85 Permalloy has the following characteristics:

The Curie temperature of the primary 1J85 Permalloy alloy is 410°C, the saturation induction is 0.8T, and the resistivity is 55μΩcm.

It has high magnetic permeability (74~82), extremely low coercive force and loss value.

It is sensitive to weak signals, and its resistivity is higher than that of 1J79.

Saturation induction is low, but technically achievable permeability and very low coercivity values.

Stress has a significant effect on magnetism.

For the heat treatment of the final magnetic properties of 1J85 Permalloy, it is recommended to conduct it in dry hydrogen or cracked ammonia (dew point temperature <-40°C).

1J85 application range application field

1J85 precision alloy has the following aspects in the application field of magnetic materials:

DC relays, communication and electronic equipment transformers, chokes: The high magnetic induction and low magnetic permeability of 1J85 precision alloy make it an ideal choice for core lamination, which can improve the performance and efficiency of equipment.

Magnetic shielding device: Since 1J85 precision alloy has excellent magnetic permeability characteristics and can effectively shield and isolate magnetic fields, it is often used in the manufacture of magnetic shielding devices.

Parts or control components: 1J85 precision alloy has high sensitivity in magnetic response, which makes it widely used in magnetic sensors, magnetic control and magnetic transmission. It can be used to manufacture magnetic parts, electromagnetic solenoids, and components that require magnetic induction or magnetic control.

By using 1J85 precision alloy in these application fields, its excellent magnetic and shape memory properties can be brought into play, and the performance and function of equipment can be improved.
