On September 26, XPeng Motors announced a further acceleration of its European strategy, officially entering five new markets: Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. Multiple popular new models debuted simultaneously, marking a comprehensive boost to its globalization efforts. XPeng will continue to deepen its presence in Europe in the future.

IT Home notes that on September 15, XPeng revealed a key plan for localized production in Europe, partnering with Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, Austria. Leveraging the factory’s mature production lines, XPeng aims to significantly advance the localization of electric vehicle manufacturing in Europe. The first localized production project is set to launch in Q3 2025 at Magna’s Graz facility, with the initial batch of XPeng G6 and G9 models rolling off the production line. The plant will later produce additional XPeng models.

Additionally, XPeng’s Munich R&D Center in Germany, its first in Europe, has officially commenced operations. With technical support from the Munich center, XPeng plans to expand production at the Magna plant to include a wider range of vehicle categories, such as pure-electric platform sedans, mid-size SUVs, compact SUVs, and ultra-fast-charging models. This will further enrich XPeng’s product lineup in the European market.
